Purpose:  Create employment opportunities and expand the tax base of the Morristown area by recruiting quality new industry and assisting the existing industry to expand.

Tourism Development Committee
Mark Thompson, Morristown Hamblen HealthCare System, Chair

Purpose:   Work with Morristown, Hamblen County and the State of Tennessee to collaboratively identify positive objectives for the creation, nurturing and development of Tourism as a sustainable growth industry in Hamblen County and promote the utilization, maintenance and expansion of the area’s lakes, parks and recreational facilities as an economic resource for the community.

Retail, Service & Commercial Development Committee

Purpose:   Enhance economic opportunities for retail, service and commercial development through increased recruiting efforts in order to provide jobs and diversify the community’s economic base.

Ambassador’s Club

Purpose:  Raise awareness of the Chamber among the membership and the community through various networking opportunities and promotional programs and to maintain open lines of communication between the Chamber and its members.

Annual Meeting Committee

Purpose:  Organize the activities related to the Annual Meeting thus providing an opportunity for the Chamber leadership to make its annual report to the membership.

Awards and Recognitions Committee

Marsha Huntsman, Everhunt Builders, Small Business Awards of Excellence Event Chair

Purpose:  Plan and carry out events and programs that will recognize the contributions and achievements of businesses representing various segments of the Chamber membership.

Christmas Parade Committee

Purpose:  To plan and carry out the community’s annual Christmas Parade in cooperation with other community organizations.
Volunteer Opportunities:  Open to all interested members.

Leadership Morristown Committee
Drew Ogle, Lakeway Chapter, American Red Cross, Chair
Purpose:  Identify individuals who have been put in positions of leadership or who have the potential to become community leaders and provide them with the contacts, training and encouragement to achieve and excel in leadership roles.
Volunteer Opportunities:  (Committee):  Open to graduates of Leadership Morristown or other community Leadership programs.  (Candidates):  Open to all interested members.

Women In Business

Purpose:  Provide informational meetings and networking opportunities and for women in management, leadership or ownership roles in Chamber member businesses. 
Volunteer Opportunities:  Open to all women Chamber members.

Purpose:  Oversee the financial affairs of the Chamber

Golf Tournament Committee

Purpose:  Plan and conduct a Golf Tournament that will provide networking opportunities for Chamber members and generate funds to support other Chamber programs.

Membership Development Committee

Purpose:  Grow and expand the membership base to provide resources for the programs and operations of the Chamber.

Strategic Planning & Accreditation Committee

Purpose:  Review the operations of the Chamber organization to ensure efficiency and quality in all areas of the internal operations and external program development, including strategic planning and the maintenance of accredited status.

Special Initiative

A special committee appointed by the Chairman of the Board to serve as a
steering committee for the purpose of  developing a Community Assessment instrument.
